MUTUALAID FOR THE CHILDREN

DEAR BROTHER & SISTER FIRE FIGHTERS:

I am a retired life member (28 yrs) with the Granby Center VFD in Granby Center, NY.

Now I am a member of the Bektash Shriner's Temple in Concord, NH and am in the Clown Unit. My character is a clown fire fighter. My costume is all authentic. My costume is all black in color from the boots to the helmet. The scott pack is changed to helium for balloons. As a character clown, I visit hospitals, schools, the Shriner's circus when it comes to our area and anywhere they ask me to go. I perform two functions where ever I go. The first is fire education and the second is to let them have some fun. What a geography lessons for the children. Children learn by having fun and who better to have fun with but a clown.

I am trying to add some color to my costume. I am in hopes that you will be able to donate a patch from your department to go on my costume. Please pass the word to other fire departments in your areas.

I am also donating my time for any schools in the area who would like me to come in and teach fire education. Fire education is important may help before, going to the hospital badly burned. I would much rather see the children in school than in the hospitals. Would'nt you?
